A pathway for every player
Our teams programme gives players the chance to train, compete and develop in a structured and supportive environment.
Whether taking their first steps into team football or pushing towards higher levels, players are supported with high-quality coaching and a clear pathway.

Why Choose LFS?
🎓
FA Qualified Coaches
As a 3-Star Accredited Club, all of our coaches hold a minimum of FA Level 1 qualification.
👥
Player Pathway
Boys and girls can progress through multiple levels at LFS, from Football School through to Combined Teams.
🤝
Bursary Scheme
We work hard to keep our teams as affordable and accessible as possible, with support available through our bursary fund.
📈
Professional Links
Many of our players and staff have progressed into academies and professional clubs, with current coaches also scouting in the game.
Combined Teams
Our Combined Teams are our highest-level team environments and are designed for players who are ready for a more demanding football schedule.
These teams train twice and play two matches a week. They compete in stronger external leagues; offering a more advanced development and competitive experience.
Combined Girls
• Junior Premier League, with home and away fixtures
• CIYFL, with matches at Barnard Park
Combined Boys/Mixed
• Echo Junior League, with home and away fixtures
• CIYFL, with matches at Market Road
Local Teams
Our Local Teams are designed for players who are ready for regular grassroots league football while continuing to develop within our Football School environment.
These teams have one team training session and one match a week/bi-weekly depending on the league. Local team players must also continue to attend our football school sessions.
Tufnell Park teams play in the Regent’s Park Saturday Youth League.
London Fields teams play in the Hackney Marshes Saturday Youth League.
Development League
The second step of our pathway, complementing Football School by introducing structured team football in an internal league. These teams help players build an understanding of competitive football in a supportive and appropriately challenging environment.
Players in Development League teams play once a week and continue to attend our Football Schools.
Our boys/mixed Development League takes place on Fridays at Highbury Fields.
Our girls-only Development League, starting in 2026, will take place on Mondays at Barnard Park.
Professional Links
Our current staff also include coaches and scouts working within professional club environments.

Women's Team
Our Women’s Team competes in the Greater London Women’s Football League and has been building strongly over the past few seasons.
With a talented group of players coming through from our younger teams, the future of the team is very exciting.
They train once a week, complete one strength and conditioning session a week, and play matches on Sundays.
Home games are played at Tufnell Park Playing Fields. Away games are in and around North London.
Men's Team
Our Men’s Team will join the official step system next season, marking an exciting next step for the club and its long-term development.
Alongside this, we are continuing to develop the youth pathway beneath it, helping build strong foundations for the team and its future.
Keeping Football Affordable
Announced in our 10th year, our new kit is only the second ever LFS kit and has been introduced to help reduce costs for families.
At nearly half the price of our previous bespoke shirt, it forms part of our wider commitment to accessibility.
Alongside continued fundraising and support through our registered charity bursary fund, we are working to keep our teams open to as many players as possible.
