Yes. Our sessions are designed for all abilities, including children taking their first steps in football. The focus is on enjoyment, confidence and learning through play.
Children are grouped by age and ability to ensure sessions are safe, appropriate and enjoyable for everyone. We also ensure children feel comfortable within their group.
For outdoor park sessions, children should wear comfortable sports clothing and suitable footwear for grass, along with a water bottle.
For Futsal, indoor trainers suitable for sports halls are recommended.
Wearing the correct football kit helps players train effectively by ensuring comfort, freedom of movement, and a professional mindset. It also enhances focus, making every session more productive.
For our competitive teams, players are required to wear full kit to training and matches.

Kit
Training kit is compulsory for our competitive teams, but isn’t for our football school sessions.
However wearing the correct football kit helps players train effectively by ensuring comfort, freedom of movement, and a professional mindset. It also enhances focus, making every session more productive.
This depends on the type of surface your child will be playing on.
For Tufnell Park, London Fields and Hyde Park Football School (played on grass), we recommend moulded football boots for the best grip and comfort.
For Futsal (played in an indoor sports hall), we recommend trainers or flat indoor football shoes.
For Team Training (played on astro turf), we recommend astro turf trainers or moulded football boots.
Please avoid metal studs or blades at any of our venues.
You can find boot swap boxes at our Tufnell Park, London Fields or Hyde Park football schools, where you can donate, swap or pick up boots free of charge.
Coaching
All sessions are led by FA-qualified coaches, each holding First Aid, Safeguarding and DBS certification. London Football School is a 3-Star Accredited Club.
We aim to teach your child much more than just the fundamentals of the game. Alongside developing key football attributes like dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork, they’ll also build confidence, discipline and respect for others. We want every player to learn how to work hard, support teammates, handle setbacks and enjoy their football in a positive, inclusive environment. Most importantly, we want them to develop a genuine love for the game.
We aim to keep small group sizes, with multiple coaches present to ensure children receive support, attention and encouragement throughout the session.
Teams
Yes. Children who show readiness and interest may progress into our Development League or LFS teams, with guidance and support from our coaches.
LFS play in a variety of local and regional league, these include:
• Junior Premier League
• Echo League
• Regent’s Park Youth League
• Camden & Islington Youth Football League
• Hackney Marshes Saturday Youth Football League
Girls Football
Girls-only football is important because it can create a better environment for girls to learn and enjoy the game. Without some of the pressure that can come with mixed sessions, many players feel more confident, get more involved and develop more quickly. For some girls, it’s simply the setting where they feel most comfortable and enjoy football the most.
Yes! We run our very own girls-only football school in Hyde Park. It runs between 10am and 11:30am on Sundays, for primary school aged girls.
Here at LFS, we have 13 girls-only teams, plus a women’s teams playing in the step-system. Our team ages range from U8 through to U18. Our local teams play in the Regent’s Park Youth League, while our combined teams play in the Junior Premier League & the CIYFL.
Holiday Camps
We run Team Player Camps during every school holiday.
This is a high-intensity environment for team players who want to improve, be challenged and push themselves. Across the three days, players will work through technical practices, opposed sessions and games, with a strong focus on decision making.
Players who attend all three days will come away sharper, more confident and noticeably improved.
